Why does curing matter so much in Saudi conditions?
High ambient temperature, low humidity and wind all pull water out of fresh concrete faster than it can hydrate, which causes plastic shrinkage cracking and reduces surface strength. A curing compound seals the surface and holds that moisture in. It is one of the least expensive materials on a pour and one of the most consequential.
Which release agent should I use on steel formwork?
Release agents are formulated differently for steel, plywood and coated form faces, and using the wrong one leaves surface staining or a poor finish. Tell us the formwork type and whether the concrete face will be exposed or covered.
Do you supply fibres for slabs?
Yes, the Sika range includes fibres used to control plastic shrinkage cracking in slabs and screeds. Dosage rates per cubic metre are published on the data sheet, and structural reinforcement requirements remain a matter for your engineer.
